The sculpture has been composed of numerous redwood burls and sections of redwood driftwood that have been carefully sculptured with chain saws and combined to create this outstanding work of art.

The larger crescent shape configuration of driftwood on the upper left portion of the sculpture represents a supreme entity that watches over and protects the abstract person figure, on the lower right portion below. Although the sculpture composition could be translated in other various ways, it depicts a sort of guardian angel hovering over its disciple.

All of the natural redwood used to create these sculptures has been reclaimed from the underground portions of fallen trees which have been victimized from winter storms, landslides or forest fires, therefor no living trees have been utilized.
All sculptures are signed and numbered by Daryl Stokes and include color brochure with an artist certificate of authenticity.
